Looks like ‘Circus’ wasn’t the only Britney album to shake up the charts this week. According to MTV.com ‘Blackout’ has made its way BACK in to the Billboard 200 after selling more than 4,600 copies and is now at #198.

Maybe now is the time to go out and buy those old Britney albums you never got round to getting in the past. Let’s get all EIGHT (if you include Greatest Hits: My Prerogative
and B in the Mix: The Remixes) of Britney’s albums in the charts! Wouldn’t that be epic?!

The following is from a article from US Magazine …..

Here’s one possible reason why Britney Spears hasn’t answered all the court’s phone calls for drug tests: she’s got a no. 1 album to promote!

Yes, despite being eclipsed by The Eagles for no. 1 on Billboard’s U.S. charts, Spears apparently still has what it takes abroad. The “Gimme More” singer finished last week as the no. 1 seller on Billboard’s European and Canadian charts, and took the top spot in U.S. digital downloads as well. Take that, Eagles!

Usmagazine.com has also learned that Spears’ record company, Jive, is already prepping the official release of the album’s second single, “Piece of Me,” produced by the people behind “Toxic.”

The following italicized article is from www.nbc5i.com:
The Eagles have soared to the top of the album charts, flying far higher than Britney Spears’ new album.
The classic rock group’s No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart came about with a change in the publication’s policy.
Spears’ album “Blackout” would have been No. 1 with sales of 290,000 copies, but the Eagles massively outsold her, with sales of 711,000 copies of their “Long Road Out Of Eden” album. The policy change comes because the Eagles’ album was only sold through Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores.
Billboard never used to count albums that were sold exclusively through one retailer, but it has decided to change that because Wal-Mart was willing to share its sales data with Nielsen Soundscan.
Nielsen Soundscan counts music sales and Billboard uses those figures to determine the chart rankings.
The Eagles’ “Long Road Out of Eden” features four of the group’s longtime members: Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt.
The group will make its first-ever appearance at the Country Music Association’s awards show Wednesday.

BLACKOUT set all sorts of crazy records in its first week! Not only was it the biggest-sellingdigital album debut by a female artist in one week, but Britney has become the only woman whose first five studio albums have debuted in the top two slots on the chart.

Take that, Eagles.
