why isn’t the 3 video on the DVD?!
So why’d they leave “Boys” off the DVD? It’s the only video not to be included. And also, why isn’t Jive releasing a DVD-only set of the videos or something else… I’m a huge Britney fan, but it’s hard for me to justify spending $80 – $100 on the Singles Collection when I already have most of the songs (including the B-sides and remixes), and all of the videos from the “My Prerogative” DVD set.
AND they won’t even include the video for “3″ on the DVD?? Seriously?? This is totally a move on Jive’s part to rip off Britney’s fans and I’m sure Britney has very little to do with it. They want to release something before Christmas to cash in on the holiday season, but I guess Britney doesn’t have enough new material to make a full-out album yet (and for good reason – she’s been touring like crazy since March!).
The ultimate box set is really great for Britney fans – and I do like it. But the problem is, we live in a digital world where most hardcore fans own all those songs (b-mixes, remixes, and all), and have most of those videos on DVD already or the high quality iTunes versions (which, when burned to DVD, are still fairly decent quality on an HDTV, and look fabulous on a tube TV). But because of this, the price is really unreasonable.
I love Britney…LOVE HER a hundred times over, but this really is Jive stepping in and releasing something to overcharge fans and under provide for them. It’s very unfortunate.
If they want to fix it, include the last 2 videos (“Boys” and “3″) on the DVD, and throw in a few more never-heard tracks, maybe some demos of a few songs, and then drop the retail price to $50 at most. The “Standard Edition” is just fine for all casual Britney fans – it might be missing some of her greatest moments earlier in her career (“Sometimes,” “Lucky,”), but casual fans who don’t own all her albums will appreciate the collection. It’s the “ultimate fans” who are getting ripped off, IMO.
i thought 3 would have been included on the dvd!
“3″, “Overprotected (International video)” and “Boys” are missing. Hope they will release a DVD only soon. It would be great if they include “Piece of me (UK video)” and “gimme more (uncensored)” or re-shoot “gimme more” as well. Demos and unreleased track like “kiss you all over” and others are hot too.
Man… i wany that 3 will be in the DVD…
